The National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) Intramural Research Program is seeking Staff Clinicians to lead the Epilepsy Clinic at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. 

The NIH Clinical Center is the largest research hospital in the world and conducts early-phase clinical trials and natural history studies of rare disorders. The Epilepsy service provides care and oversees several protocols (natural history and clinical trials) of patients with a wide variety of seizure disorders, many of whom may require surgical intervention. The incumbent will oversee the daily running of the epilepsy clinic and provide supervision of staff that consists of a nurse practitioner, nurse, protocol coordinator, and a clinical fellow. This person will oversee the training of clinical fellows and residents in epilepsy. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a neurologist looking to expand and deepen their expertise in these areas. 

The successful applicant must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D.; be a board certified/eligible Neurologist with specialty training in epilepsy; hold a permanent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States; and meet the requirements to be credentialed at the NIH Clinical Center. The ideal candidate should have demonstrated leadership ability, and relevant training in clinical care and research.   

Salary will be commensurate with experience. A full civil service package of benefits (including retirement, health, life and long-term care insurance, Thrift Savings Plan, etc.) is available.
