Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Pediatric Anesthesiology with a focus on Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. ABA certification with subspecialty certification or board eligibility in Pediatric Anesthesiology and Pennsylvania licensure required.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching both in our formal didactic lecture program as well as in the informal teaching of medical students, residents and fellows rotating through the Cardiothoracic Operating Rooms and procedural areas.
Clinical responsibilities may include the provision of clinical anesthesia and medical direction in the Cardiovascular Operating Rooms and procedural areas.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include collaborative research. Experience in pediatric cardiothoracic anesthesiology and evidence of scholarship is required.
Primary practice located at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
