Pediatric Aortopathy Specialist Faculty Position at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. The Department of Cardiology at Boston Children's Hospital is actively recruiting a physician with expertise in the clinical care of children with aortopathy and connective tissue conditions to join our world-renowned faculty. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology. Candidates at all career stages who possess strong clinical, research, and teaching abilities are encouraged to apply. Additional roles in research, general cardiology, and imaging are available. Other valued skills include familiarity with the genetics of aortopathy-related conditions and experience in program development. An academic appointment at Harvard Medical School will be sought at a rank commensurate with qualifications.

Established in 1991, the Aortopathy and Connective Tissue Disorder Program at Boston Children’s Hospital provides comprehensive clinical diagnosis and management for regional, national, and international patients of all ages, from the fetus to the adult. The program has a strong tradition of teaching, collaboration with patient advocacy groups, and research including a leadership role in the Pediatric Heart Network Marfan Trial. 

The Aortopathy and Connective Tissue Disorder Program is a component of the Cardiovascular Genetics Center in the Department of Cardiology that serves all patients with inherited cardiovascular conditions including congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathies, arrhythmias, and dyslipidemias. The multidisciplinary team incorporates geneticists, genetic counselors, pediatric cardiologists, adult cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. The center promotes a wide variety of clinical research projects and is closely aligned with translational and basic research in cardiac biology, vascular biology, genetics, and bioengineering.
