The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, is recruiting a full-time faculty member at the Associate Professor/Professor level in the subspecialty of orthopaedic traumatology. The qualified physician will be actively involved in the management of Orthopaedic Trauma within the Orthopaedic Service Line. Responsibilities include clinical activities and teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

From general orthopaedics and sports medicine to knee disorders, hip conditions, joint reconstruction, spine surgery, and pediatric orthopaedics, we offer treatments for the simple to the most complex orthopaedic conditions. Our nationally-recognized experts focus on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries for both adults and children. Requirements

Qualifications Include:

• A medical degree from an accredited medical school;
• Completion of an accredited orthopaedic residency training program;
• Completion of trauma fellowship training;
• Eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania;
• Board-certification in orthopaedic surgery.

Qualified physician applicants should have a significant interest and ability in clinical care and teaching. As part of an academic faculty, dedication to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows will be required. Candidates should possess strong clinical, interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills, as well as a history of scholarly publications and presentations, and evidence of interest in and involvement in research.

Salary commensurate with experience.
