The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, Department of Surgical Oncology, is actively recruiting for a term tenure or term tenure track assistant or associate professor in the Hepatobiliary Surgery Section of the Department of Surgical Oncology. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing both clinical expertise in patient care management and an appropriate teaching environment for fellows, residents, and students in the specialty area of Hepatobiliary Surgical Oncology. Key duties for this position include surgical care for patients with hepatobiliary tumors, participating in related regional/ national/ international conferences, teaching integrated programs in the surgical sciences, and conducting clinical trials or other research.

 

 

Qualified candidates will have an MD degree, will have completed a general surgery residency, and will be Candidates/Fellows in the American College of Surgeons. Fellowship training in surgical oncology, hepatobiliary surgery or minimally invasive hepatic surgery, and/or clinical experience as a faculty member with a demonstrated clinical and academic interest in hepatobiliary surgery is highly desirable.
