The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh has available a one-year clinical instructorship in hand and upper extremity surgery beginning August 1, 2018. During the course of the 1-year training program, the clinical instructor will rotate through the orthopaedic and plastic surgery services. The clinical instructor will learn appropriate surgical indications throughout the course of the year by taking part in outpatient clinics, urgent and non-urgent inpatient consultations while on call, surgical cases in the OR and conferences.  Upon completion, the clinical instructor will have experienced a multidisciplinary approach to hand and upper extremity cases. Individuals who have completed an accredited training program in orthopaedic surgery and are interested in additional training in the surgical treatment of hand and upper extremity are eligible to apply. Must be eligible for and maintain an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license.
