The Department of Pathology of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine invites applications for a full time, tenure track faculty position in the Division of Neuropathology. The successful candidate will hold an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a medical staff appointment in The Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. Applicants must have a MD degree or MD/PhD degrees and be Board certified, or eligible, in Neuropathology. The successful candidate must be eligible for a State of Maryland medical license.

A primary interest and expertise in surgical neuropathology, including brain tumor diagnosis, is desired. It is expected that the applicant has published in the field of surgical neuropathology. The position is responsible for signing out cases from an active in house neurosurgical service, as well as a high volume neuropathology consult service. The position involves diagnostic services, teaching, and development of an independent or collaborative research program in clinical, applied or basic research. Having a funded research program is not a requirement, but applications are encouraged from candidates who have an established focus of scholarly productivity. Salary will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
