The Opportunity

    \n\t
  • National physician leader responsible for, and bridging, Vituity clinical leadership culture, engagement, and satisfaction across all independent clinic staff within Outpatient Medicine
  • \n\t
  • Develop and support patient experience initiatives
  • \n\t
  • Optimize operational, quality, provider, and patient satisfaction performance through objectives and key results
  • \n\t
  • Design and implement initiatives that drive quarterly quality performance targets
  • \n\t
  • Present new innovations and service line offerings to sites for new business opportunities
  • \n\t
  • Work with Vituity Practice Management staff and VPs in negotiations of managed care contracts as needed
  • \n\t
  • Monitors practice line dashboards and provides macro training for provider level support
  • \n\t
  • Serves as medical “face” of the independent clinic practice line and participates in external thought leadership, contributing to public statements, and marketing efforts
  • \n\t
  • Builds organizational and personal brand equity externally, within industry
  • \n\t
  • Participates in advocacy strategy for Outpatient Medicine segments
  • \n\t
  • Partners with Innovation and Transformation team to discover and implement new solutions
  • \n\t
  • Attends industry events and is knowledgeable of trends in consumer health models
  • \n\t
  • Stays atop competitor positions and local market share
  • \n\t
  • Provides guidance on clinical strategy across practice line
  • \n\t
  • Aids in clinical development of ancillary services and treatment plans
  • \n\t
  • Facilitate integration between different practice lines and outpatient medicine
  • \n\t
  • Facilitate standard clinical practices across all sites and participates in new site startups
  • \n\t
  • Seek innovative clinical practice solutions or technologies to scale or optimize performance
  • \n\t
  • Partner with practice line Ops Director for consistency and adherence to operating model
  • \n\t
  • Holding Medical Directors accountable for site finances and manage debt forgiveness when applicable
  • \n\t
  • Accountable for meeting organizational goals
  • \n\t
  • Promote Vituity’s culture, mission, values, culture, and democratic principles across all sites
  • \n\t
  • Works with Partnership affairs and CPAC on provider related issues and concerns
  • \n\t
  • Ensures bidirectional communication to and from providers regarding organizational updates, policies and procedures, strategy, etc.
  • \n\t
  • Works alongside Outpatient Medicine Leadership to identify new growth opportunities
  • \n\t
  • Fosters strong internal/external relationships for expanded partnership and business opportunities
  • \n\t
  • Define pragmatic goals, design strategies to achieve them, and execute plans that can be implemented across multiple markets
  • \n\t
  • Demonstrates strong leadership that sponsors and mentors Medical Directors
  • \n\t
  • Counsel, restrict, or remove an underperforming Medical Director
  • \n\t
  • Meet with Medical Directors on a frequent basis and monitor high risk and new sites monthly
  • \n\t
  • Investigate and address Partner and provider complaints and issues within the OM Division
  • \n\t
  • Ensures appropriate recruiting, onboarding, education, and training of MDs
  • \n\t
  • Participates in updating and educating provider materials
  • \n\t
  • Ensures adequate staffing and proper management of contingency staffing
  • \n\t
  • Assume responsibility for any Medical Director in an emergency
  • \n\t
  • Leadership education and training and supplies potential candidates to leadership pipeline
  • \n\t
  • Occasionally participates in Divisional meetings with all practice lines
  • \n\t
  • Engages in RD meetings and initiatives and contributes content for Vituity meetings
  • \n\t
  • Supports senior residents’ day
  • \n\t
  • Supports New Partner Orientation (NPO) program
  • \n

Required Experience and Competencies

\n\n
    \n\t
  • Board certification is required
  • \n\t
  • At least 5 years of exemplary clinical practice is required
  • \n\t
  • Exceptional experience and reputation as an administrative partner or equivalent in a large medical group practice (medical directorship, committee chair or regional directorship)
  • \n\t
  • Experience growing a practice line through ancillary program development
  • \n\t
  • Demonstrated creative and innovative thought necessary for the development of novel programs addressing clinical operational, quality and service excellence performance
  • \n\t
  • Knowledge of Outpatient Medicine strategy, including direct-to-consumer models and broader industry trends
  • \n\t
  • Proven ability to foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • \n\t
  • Analytical sense and ability to monitor and improve key performance metrics
  • \n\t
  • Demonstrated skills in interpersonal, communication, leadership, and change management capable of moving the organization to adopt novel programs
  • \n\t
  • Excellent negotiation, influence, and presentation skills on a national level
  • \n\t
  • Outstanding knowledge of urgent care and primary care settings, including a deep understanding of consumer driven health in community markets
  • \n\t
  • Experience developing scalable clinical programs across multiple sites
  • \n\t
  • Aptitude for creative solutions and ability to lead the implementation and evaluation of programs that advance Vituity’s strategy, particularly around creating care opportunities outside the hospital walls and optimizing and diversifying revenue.
  • \n\t
  • Deep understanding of health technology and proven ability to successfully implement it to drive practice improvement and patient engagement
  • \n\t
  • Strong understanding of healthcare industry and trends impacting Vituity business preferred
  • \n\t
  • Management experience preferably at the medical director and organizational program management level
  • \n\t
  • Attendance at conferences relevant to the healthcare industry and job requirements preferred
  • \n\t
  • Some travel required
