The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is excited to announce the opening of a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) July 2021 as part of an institutional initiative to bring comprehensive quaternary cardiac and thoracic surgical services to Arkansas. The Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a fellowship-trained and experienced Critical Care Anesthesiologist to lead the new unit and serve as the Departmental Division Chief for Critical Care. Additional fellowship training and experience in CV anesthesiology is preferred. There are additional faculty openings for fellowship-trained Critical Care Anesthesiologists within the unit. Tenure and clinical track faculty positions are available that involve administrative, clinical, teaching and research responsibilities.
