The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Surgical Pathology with a focus on Gastrointestinal, Head and Neck, Gynecological or Breast Pathology. Candidates with subspecialty surgical pathology experience will be highly considered. Teaching responsibilities may include participation in a broad spectrum of intra- and inter-departmental teaching activities including pathology house-staff and fellows, and medical student teaching. Clinical responsibilities may include sign out in cytopathology, surgical pathology and frozen section coverage at Pennsylvania Hospital.

Requirements

Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Board certification in Cytopathology, board certification in Anatomic Pathology (and/or AP/CP) from the American Board of Pathology or equivalent and an unrestricted PA medical license/eligibility. While some evidence of scholarship is necessary, research is not required in the AC track.
