The Department of Pathology is seeking a Pathologist with strong diagnostic expertise and research ability at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Gynecologic Pathology section. This term tenure track faculty position’s primary research responsibility will be to conduct an innovative, independently funded gynecologic research program. This position will also need to demonstrate the ability to compete for extramural funding and have a track record of successful independent research with the supervision of postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, and other trainees. Startup funds and laboratory space will be provided to qualified candidates. Rank and salary commensurate with experience and academic credentials and an excellent benefits package will also be provided.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Board certification in Anatomic Pathology and an active Texas medical license or eligibility is required.
  • For Assistant Professor, at least 2 years experience as Instructor or 5 years post-degree with any combination of time as a clinician, clinical scientist, or GME trainee.
  • For Associate Professor, 5 years experience as Assistant Professor or equivalent or 10 years post clinical degree.
  • Cytopathology training will be considered an asset.
