The Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Urology is seeking outstanding candidates for an Acute Care Urologist (ACU) role. The ACU will lead and manage the Acute Care Urology Service at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Primary clinical responsibilities include but are not limited to the emergency department and in-house consultations, surgery and outpatient care and procedures. In addition to clinical care, successful candidates will have opportunities for participation in academic, resident teaching and project work in support of the Department. Training and experience commensurate with the position, eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Massachusetts and board certification in urology or sub-specialty certification is required. Academic rank of Instructor in Surgery, Assistant Professor in Surgery, or Associate Professor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School will be appointed, consistent with a candidate’s experience, qualifications and professional achievements.
