Department of Pathology, University of Pittsburgh, Division of Anatomic Pathology of University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Presbyterian-University Hospital
is seeking a pathologist, board certified in Anatomic Pathology, with specialty training and academic interest in Gastrointestinal Pathology, exclusive of
hepatic pathology. UPMC – Presbyterian is the major teaching hospital of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. It is responsible for 46,000 surgical
accessions with a significant GI caseload (approximately 20,000 cases) and serves as a local and regional consultation reference laboratory for Western
Pennsylvania. In addition to teaching and sign out responsibilities, the candidate would have ample opportunities for translational projects utilizing the stateof-
the-art resources of our molecular anatomic pathology, FISH, and other laboratories.

The candidate would be primarily responsible for signout of biopsies and resection specimens along with seven other committed GI pathologists, on a bench
exclusively devoted to gastrointestinal and pancreatobiliary pathology as part of our Center of Excellence model. Involvement in clinicopathologic studies,
collaborations with clinician scientists and teaching of residents, fellows, and medical students is essential. Participation in other subspecialty sign outs may
be possible based on the candidate’s interest.

 Applicants should be a US citizen or permanent resident.
 Must have an M.D. and Board certified in Anatomic Pathology with specialty training and academic interest in gastrointestinal pathology, exclusive of hepatic pathology.
 Eligibility for medical licensure in Pennsylvania is required.
 A record of and commitment to scholarly activities and publications

 Salary will be commensurate with experience.
 Full-time faculty member at the University of Pittsburgh as well as a participant in the UPMC/UPP faculty practice plan.
