The Department of Pathology, Anatomical at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston is recruiting a pathologist at the rank of assistant or associate professor with diagnostic expertise and research interest in gynecologic pathology. Special consideration will be given to candidates also holding board certification in cytopathology.

The candidate’s major responsibility will be gynecologic pathology diagnostic service which currently accessions 6,200 cases per year. Candidates must have a strong interest in independent research and/or collaborative research with clinicians or basic science investigators. Additionally, participation in the teaching of fellows, residents and postdoctoral trainees is required. Salary is commensurate with experience and academic credentials and we offer an excellent benefits package.

Qualifications:

  1. MD degree
  2. Board certification in anatomic pathology and active Texas medical license or eligibility
  3. For assistant professor, at least 2 years of experience as Instructor or 5 years post-degree with any combination of time as a clinician, clinical scientist or GME trainee. For associate professor, 5 years of experience as assistant professor or equivalent or 10 years post clinical degree.
